Galilee and Golan’s mountains, developing sustainable methods of food preservation, a great respect and admiration for nature, and unique social connections. We’ll begin the tour outdoors, at a magical olive orchard. We’ll have some cool wine, strong coffee and delicacies, and begin our “fatayer” workshop, learning how to bake this classic breakfast pastry, also called the “farmers’ meal.” From there, we’ll go on a journey among Druz villages in the West Galilee. We’ll visit the village centers, meet fascinating people, and through their stories, add some color to these people’s broad spectrum. We’ll have a meal of organic grilled mutton, and enjoy the hospitality of a Druz home for a meal of mansaf (maqluba). We’ll visit a Druz dessert workshop, enjoy lookout points, as well as variety of moving encounters.
