The Jerusalem Syndrome is a psychological phenomenon in which the history, the stories, the traditions and the religious contexts that surround Jerusalem can cause visitors to part ways with reality, experience hallucinations of themselves as prophets or redeemers, and "decorate" the city streets with a variety of peculiar behaviors and unusual sites... until this very day!
On this unique tour we will explore this fascinating phenomenon, understand the concept of "psycho-geography", the theological perceptions of Jerusalem in Judaism, Christianity and Islam, wonder the old city streets and tell the tales of characters that have experienced the Jerusalem Syndrome first-hand... to gain a slightly different perspective of the Holy City.

Abseiling in Komran strem

The trip begins in the national park and you can get an impression of the remains of the settlement, the mikvahs and the aqueduct.
There are two options for hiking in the creek:
Long route - after a not difficult ascent of about 45 minutes we will reach the top of the first waterfall (8 meters) from which we will glide with the help of ropes and enter the creek itself. The slides at the following waterfalls are at a height of 30, 35, 6 and 25 meters respectively.
Short route - (3 waterfalls) After a walk of about 20 minutes, you reach the top of the first waterfall (35), then ski another two waterfalls at a height of 6 and 25 meters. After the last surf we will walk a little further in the open creek channel until we reach back to the car park.
Duration of the trip:
Long route - 6-8 hours
Short route - about four hours
Equipment required: shoes, hat, 3 liters of water per person. Of course it is recommended to bring food and coffee.
Degree of difficulty: The route is easy and suitable even for those who have no experience in abseiling.
